Mr. Don Robert Wines, age 76, Jonesborough, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Wines was born in Washington County, Tennessee to the late Haskell & Lola Britton Wines. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Littleton and Junior Wines and two sisters Mary Penley and Linda Wines.
He was a member of Boring Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Mr. Wines was a farmer and enjoyed hauling junk.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Gregg Wines, Jonesborough; a son, Donald Wines, Jr. (Teresa), Jonesborough; granddaughter, Rose Wines; sisters, Helen Gent, and Carolyn Miller; special niece, Lisa Stacy; special great nephew and niece, Rosie Stacy and Cain Mooney; and many more nephews, nieces, friends and family.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Sulphur Springs Cemetery with Rev. Earl Bailey officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00-1:30 pm Wednesday prior to the service at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be his son, Donald Wines, Jr. and other family and friends.
