Mrs. Mary Jane Fender, age 80, Jonesborough, passed away Friday, February 16, 2024, at Johnson City Medical Center surrounded by her family and friends.
Mrs. Fender was born June 4, 1943, in Greeneville, TN to the late Bruce & Gracie Holt Tarlton. She was also preceded in death by a son, David Fender, daughter, Teresa Reifsnyder, brothers, Silas Tarlton and Henry Tarlton, son-in-law, Gary Tipton, brother-in-law, James Laws, and a grandson, Charles David Bowling.
She was a member of Horse Creek Missionary Church.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Fender, Jonesborough; daughters, Christine Tipton, Pamela Norton, Earlene Fender, and Marie Richey (Clifford); sisters, Gertha Laws (George) and Callie Laws; grandchildren, Dwayne Tipton, Jeff Tipton, Lacy Jane Wells, Daniel Ray Jennings, Stephanie Holder, David Jordan Fender, Misty Hanson and Austin Lee Bowling; son-in-law, Charles Reifsnyder; special friends, Paul & Brenda Bailey; 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 PM, Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Rice and Rev. Kevin Laws officiating. Music will be provided by The Saults family and John Holder. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM, Sunday prior to the service.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 19, 2024, at Silvers Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
