Ms. Melody A. Setser, age 76, of Johnson City, passed away at the Johnson City Medical Center on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.

She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on December 1, 1947, to the late John Blackwell and Oma Blackwell Jones.

Melody was a Certified Medical Assistant for many years, working for Hancock Manor Nursing Home and Life Care Center of Rogersville. She loved to read and spend time with her children and her grandchildren. Melody loved her family unconditionally and will be missed by all of them so much.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by the father of her children, Junior Bunch and her brother, Lewis Jones.

Survivors include her daughter, Julie Bunch; son, Joshua Bunch and his wife, Makayla; grandchildren, Travis Bunch, Taylor Bunch, Hailey Bunch, Jayden Bunch, Dawson Bunch, Caleb Bunch; great-grandchildren, Draven Bunch, Lejlia Bunch and Rilynn Bunch.

At this time there will be no formal service.
