Mr. Grant Preston Hackler, age 62, of Johnson City, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Grant was born on January 6, 1961, in Galax, Virginia to the late Roger Hackler and to Bennie Sue Potts.

In addition to his father, Grant is preceded in death by his brother, Kevin Hackler.

He did upholstery work for many different companies throughout the years. He enjoyed deer hunting, gardening, and canning. Grant was a talented guitarist.

Survivors include his wife, Cynthia “Cindy” Hackler; children, Brittany Higgins (Rob), Christin Pearson (Nate), and Cody Hackler; grandchildren, Sophia Higgins, Mackenzie Higgins and one on the way; mother, Bennie Sue Potts; sister, Sonja Branum (Benny); brother, Travis Hackler (Misty); several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A Celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
