Joanna Smith, 60, of Johnson City, passed away on November 7, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Junior and Bobbie Jack Brown; husband, Eugene Smith; sister, Debbie Gay Young; and grandson Landon Brown.

Surviving Joanna are her sons, Sammy Smith and Joseph Brown (Lavanda); brother, David Brown; grand-daughter, Natalie Brown; brother, Roger Brown (Paulette); niece, Betty Jo Taylor (Curtis); great nieces, Payton Miracolo (Marcus), and Ashley Ray; great nieces and nephews, Sophia, Makenzie, Brookelyn, Kaiden, AJ, and Zaiden; and special friend Randell Holder.

Joanna was a very generous and loving person. She took care of her adult son and her youngest adult brother. She gave all her life’s savings to make ends meet while ensuring her family’s needs were fulfilled.

A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, November 13, 2023, at 2PM at Bethesda Methodist Church Cemetery in Jonesborough, Tennessee.

Friends may come pay their respects and sign the register book between the hours of 10 AM and 3PM on Saturday, November 11, 2023.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
