Mrs. Violet Huffine, age 78, of Jonesborough, passed away at the Johnson City Medical Center on Thursday, August 10, 2023.
She was born in Carter County, on April 6, 1945, to the late Clyde and Hazel Byers.
After 35 plus years caring for patients as a private practice nurse, she enjoyed 21 years of retirement and caring for her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lena Kate Ball and her husband, Dale; mother and father-in-law, Sherman and Glenna Huffine and sister-in-law, Priscilla Huffine.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Clifford Huffine; daughter, Sonya Huffine Woodyard; precious grandchildren, McKenzie D. Silvers and Daniel A. Woodyard; brother, Ray Byers (Linda); brother-in-law, Walter Huffine; nieces and nephews, Angie Hawkins (Steve), Jeanne Brown (Randy), Samantha Owens, Jason Huffine and Brian Huffine; several great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank special friend, Beverly Grubb, and our wonderful neighborhood friends and family for all their love and support.
Funeral Services will be at 5:00 PM, Sunday, August 13, 2023, at Eden United Methodist Church with Pastor Bryan Orchard officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, prior to the service. A Graveside Service will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, August 14, 2023, at Eden Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Hospital, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.

So sorry to hear about Violet. The first time I met her was with her sister Lena. I wnt to church with Lena and Dale. Then realized I might be some related . I saw her at the Slagle, Huffine, Scott, ect. Reunion.
She is one precious lady. Prayers and hugs for all the family.
