Mrs. Dorothy “Phyllis” Couch, age 72, of Jonesborough, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at her residence.
Phyllis was born on April 29, 1951, to the late Sherrill Garst and Alma Frances Beals.
She was a cook for Food City in Boones Creek.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Couch; brothers, Jim Garst and Charles Garst and a granddaughter, Summer Lowe.
Survivors include her daughters, Sandy Lowe (Roby) and Angela Chandler; brothers, David Garst (Jean); sisters, Ruth Odom (Pete), Jean Couch, Glenda Phillips (Lawrence), Pat Harlan (Frank), Earldean Hignite; grandchildren, Logan Chandler and Cassie Lowe; several nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 7, 2023, at Fairview Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:45 PM prior to the graveside.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.

My heart is sad to hear this news. I've known Ms Phyllis since I was a child. Then I was blessed to work with her at Food City Bakery Deli. She will be missed by many. Boy she was a firecracker. I loved her dearly.
