Mr. Wayne “Tommy” Honeycutt Jr., age 63, Johnson City, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Honeycutt was born in Washington County and is the son of Lena Whaley Honeycutt Ensor of Greeneville and the late Wayne Honeycutt. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Bill Ensor, infant sister, Alice Kay Honeycutt
He was a Christian. He loved being with his grandchildren, enjoyed fishing and was a Tennessee VOLS fan. He graduated from David Crockett High School and was always one to help others.
Mr. Honeycutt worked for Bosch as a lathe operator.
Survivors include his son, Travis Honeycutt (Brandy) Jonesborough; daughter, Emily Cable (Michael), Greeneville; granddaughters, McKinley Honeycutt and Allie Cable; grandson, Rylan Cable; sister, Teresa Taylor (Tim), Greeneville; nieces and nephew, Misty Brown (Stacy), Avery Armstrong and Ali Armstrong; loving fiancé, Michelle Arwood, Johnson City; and many special friends and family.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Amanda and Marshall Lane & family.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Curtis Hurt officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 PM, Saturday prior to the service. Graveside services will follow at Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Avery Armstrong, Tim Taylor, Vincent Whaley, Marshall Lane, Randall Gray and Michael Cable. The honorary pallbearer will be Gary Nuckles.
The best brother I could have ever had.
Tommy was so kind and willing to help anyway he could. Prayers God will comfort the family as only he can.
