Mrs. Elaine Clouse, 76, of Telford, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2023, at her residence.
She was a native of Washington County, and the daughter of the late Clay McKinney and Kate McKinney of Telford.
Mrs. Clouse was branch manager at George Washington Savings and Loan Bank for many years. After her banking career ended, she operated an in-home daycare for many years to many children and her grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing and quilting.
She was a member of Jackson Park Church of the Brethren.
In addition to her husband Ronald Clouse, she was preceded in death by her son Ronald Dale Clouse and grandson, Austin Kyle Britton.
In addition to her mother, Kate McKinney, she is survived by sister, Linda Day both of Telford; children, Neisha Clouse of Jonesborough, Bill Britton (Lori) of Limestone, Jon Britton (Nikki) of Jonesborough, Luann Thornburg (Tim) of Telford, and Scott Britton (Katie) of Gray; 15 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will have a graveside service, Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 12:00 PM, at Monte Vista Burial Park. The family would like to ask anyone who wants to attend to please meet at Monte Vista.
A special thanks to her caregivers for the last few months, Victoria and Kassidy Dykes, without them the family could not have done it.
Jon, Luanna, Scott, I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. I will never forget her writing me a letter while I was in Basic Training. She always treated me like one of her own.

Jon, Scott, Bill, LuAnn and family, Ray and I are so sad to hear the passing of Elaine. She was so dear to us when our boys was small. I don't know what we would have done without her. Ronnie and her cared for them as if they was there own. Ray and I knew they was taken care of when they was there. We will always have great memories of her and a special place in our hearts. Bless you all. Rest in peace Elaine.
