Mrs. Kathy Susan Whetsell, age 67, of Limestone, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 7, 2023.

She was a graduate of Daniel Boone High School. She enjoyed reading, coloring, cooking and most of all spending time with her granddaughters. She was retired from EZ Paintr.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Ruby Cole; brothers, Charles Cole and David Cole; sisters, Joyce Mays, Janie Roberts, and Lisa Jennings; niece, Ladonna Manis; along with a very special reuniting in heaven with her beloved grandbabies.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Gary Whetsell Sr; daughter, Kimberly Whetsell-Martin; son, Gary Whetsell Jr. and wife, Melissa; sisters, Hazel Cody, Nancy Lessman, Barbara Manis, Peggy Wilkerson, Tammy Fawbush; brother, Scott Cole; and the “Lights of her Life” her babies, Kelsey Martin and Kamryn Martin.

Funeral Services will be at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. James Templin officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, prior to the service. Graveside Service will be at 1:00 PM, Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Washington County Memory Gardens.
