Mrs. Novella Murr Wilhoit, age 94, Johnson City, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023, at Hermitage Healthcare Center.
Mrs. Wilhoit was born April 19, 1928, in Washington County, Tennessee and was the daughter of the late Nellie Ruth Murr. She was raised by her grandparents, John David & Sarah Dykes Murr.
She was the Office Manager at Laws & Troutman Insurance. After graduating from high school, she worked in Washington DC at the Pentagon.
She was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and earned the nickname of One Wing Low.
Mrs. Wilhoit was a member of Rich Acres Free Will Baptist Church. She attended McCarty United Methodist Church in her youth.
Survivors include two children, Eric W. Wilhoit (Missy) and Vickie Harris (J.W.); granddaughter, Jamie Campbell (Shane); and a great-grandson, Walker James Campbell.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff of Hermitage Healthcare for their wonderful care.
Per Mrs. Wilhoit wishes, there will not be a public service.
