Anna Faye Emory Curbow

02/11/2023

On February 11, 2023, Ann left this earthly world to be united in her heavenly home with the love of her life, Bill. Over the course of her 80 years, Mrs. Ann touched many lives. She was always thinking of others, doing for others, and giving to others. Ann worked as a waitress in high school and used that as a model to pattern her life. She found great pleasure in serving others.

As fate would have it, she met Bill on a blind date on March 7, 1972. It was love at first sight. They were married on May 4, 1972. The couple resided in Nashville, as Bill worked at CSX. The couple welcomed a baby girl, Kim to the world. They remained in Nashville, until Bill retired in June 1996. In July 1999, they moved to Jonesborough, to be closer to their first grandchild. In 2005, their second grandchild was born. Ann thoroughly loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

The couple was married over 45 years. Ann deeply missed Bill and was looking forward to being reunited with him one day in heaven. She was able to stay around five years, after Bill passed. During that time, she was able to see her granddaughter graduate from college and her grandson graduate from high school.

Ann was a member of Clark Street Baptist Church. She was a member of the order of the Eastern Star, Rockwood Chapter #382 for over 50 years.
Her unselfish service to others will continue to be portrayed in the ones that she left behind to cherish her memory.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Orpha Emory & Charles Emory; her loving husband, William “Bill” Curbow; her siblings, James Strickland, Sandra Kay Emory, and Ray Emory. The ones left to preserve her memory are her daughter, Kimberly Hall, and husband Rodney Hall; grandchildren, Kristen Hall and Ryan Hall, her brothers; Robert Emory and wife, Joann, Charles Emory and wife, Linda, several nieces and nephews, and special friends, Tonita Fulks and Bonnie Byers.

Graveside Services will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 17, 2023, at Mountain Home National Cemetery.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to Clark Street Baptist Church, 200 Clark St. Johnson City TN 37604 or St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

I love this! Ann was the best friend I ever had, and I will miss her terribly. She was the kindest, most giving soul I’ve ever known and I loved her so much! Even though my heart is broken, I am glad for her that she is where she wants to be, in her forever home in Heaven with Mr Bill. God bless you, my dear friend"please save me a seat on the other side. And God bless all of you, Kim, Rodney, Kristin, and Ryan ❤️
