Ms. Joan Elaine Dison, age 64, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at the Johnson City Medical Center surrounded by her family. Joan had been living at Lakebridge Nursing Home since 2002.
When Joan was born on April 19, 1958, in El Dorado, Arkansas, she was premature and weighed less than 2 lbs. Joan has been a fighter all her life. She struggled to do things that we take for granted but you never heard her complain. Joan was an inspiration for everyone she met and will be truly missed. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and she loved computer games and watching TV shows.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley “Gene” Dison and Bertha Rinke Dison.
Those left to cherish her memory are sister, Theresa Rice (Fred); brothers, Mark Dison (Beth), Larry Dison (Krista), Billy Dison (Angela); 8 nieces and nephews; 6 great nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 16, 2023, at Washington County Memory Gardens Chapel, with Deacon George Fredricks, officiating.
Joan, I am so sad to hear you have left this earth but I do not want to be sad because I know you are now it a much better place. No more struggles for you my lady. I know you are dancing with the angels in heaven and now watching over us. I will never forget the time we spent together and the love we shared. You were always a light for me and I am so grateful to have met you and called you my friend. I love you, Joanie baloney!
Joanie was the sweetest kindest soul. She will be greatly missed. Praying dor her family and friends as they go through this journey, may God wrap His loving arms around each of you.
