Ms. Scarlett Ann Pearson, age 60, Limestone, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Ms. Pearson was born in Johnson City and was the daughter of Virginia Broyles Raines, and the late Ivan Raines. She grew up in Limestone with her late younger brother, Randall “Mark” Raines. Though he pestered her greatly, he always brought a smile to her face. Her childhood was filled with many memorable moments with a loving family and lifelong friends, including Lisa Dockery.
After graduating from David Crockett High School, Scarlett continued to play softball, started a family, and continued to pursue happiness.
Scarlett was a devoted mother, daughter, wife, and friend. She was incredibly gifted in cooking and crafts. She shared her talent of crocheting by making beautiful blankets for family members. Her chicken casserole and Hawaiian fruit cake recipes were a family favorite!
Scarlett shined in the world and would always keep others smiling with a twisted smile or sarcastic joke. Her strength and dedication will be remembered by all those she touched.
Survivors include her daughter, Ashten Jennings (Morgan Jennings); mother, Virginia Raines; nephews Kevin Raines (Sarah) and Eric Raines (Chasity), and her lifelong best friend and partner, Terry Pearson.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-4:00 pm Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 251 Washington College Station Rd. Limestone, TN 37681.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family has asked that a charitable donation be made to St. Jude’s Hospital or Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church’s cemetery fund.

So very sorry...a beautiful soul has left this world and now shines...brightening up Heaven. I remember Don and I attending the wedding between Scarlett and Terry. Prayers for Ginny, Terry, daughter, and rest of family. She was beautiful inside and out.
