MRS. SUSAN MARIE MAILICOAT (HOLLARS-BASINGER) PASSED AWAY MONDAY, JANUARY 16, 2023, AT FOUR OAKS HEALTHCARE CENTER IN JONESBOROUGH, TN.

SUSAN WAS BORN OCTOBER 8, 1934, IN VALLE CRUCIS, NC, TO ELLARD & MILDRED HOLLARS.

SUSAN WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER DAUGHTER ANGELA PHILLIPS, 3 SISTERS, MARY, MAMIE, AND CHARLOTTE AND 2 BROTHERS JACK AND BUCK.

SUSAN WAS AN AVID ANIMAL LOVER. SHE LOVED CROSS STITCHING PICTURES AND READING IN HER SPARE TIME. SHE HAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL GARDEN AND HAD A GREEN THUMB. SHE LOVED CANNING AND MAKING JAM. SUSAN WAS THE BEST SOUTHERN COOK AND PASSED DOWN MANY FAMILY RECIPES; SUNDAY DINNER WAS ALWAYS THE BEST.

SURVIVORS INCLUDE HER HUSBAND DONALD G MALICOAT; SON CRIS BASINGER (TAMMY) OF LITTLE RIVER TEXAS, SON CRAIG BASINGER OF LINCONTON NORTH CAROLINA; DAUGHTER TRACY MILLER (JOE) OF SARVER PA; AND SON CLINT BASINGER (TONI) OF SPRING HILL FLORIDA; SUSAN HAD MANY GRANDCHILDREN AND MANY GREAT GRAND CHILDREN; SUSAN ALSO LEAVES BEHIND HER BELOVED DOG LUCY.

IN LIEU OF FLOWERS A DONATION TO THE SPCA IN HONOR OF SUSAN
