Mrs. Mary Frances Barner, age 80, of Jonesborough, TN passed away on January 12, 2023, at Johnson City Medical Center surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Barner was born on June 25, 1942, in Dresden, Tennessee to the late Jesse & Mary Clark Jones.

In addition to her parents Mary was preceded in death by husband, Billy Barner; brothers, Arthur Jones, Tommy Jones, Charles Vernon Jones & Joe Jones; sisters, Mabel Watson, Martha Cannon & Viola Sampson.

Mary was a member of Public Wells Baptist Church in Martin, Tennessee. She enjoyed working in the yard and mowing her lawn.

Those left to cherish her memory are daughter, Sheryl Sondergaard and her husband Robert, of Jonesborough; son, Robert Barner and his wife Karen of Wise, VA; 8 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Per her wishes Mrs. Barner will be cremated and there will be no service at this time.
