Mr. John Clinton Wilcox, age 75, of Jonesborough, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022, at his residence.
John was born on June 13, 1947 to the late Samuel and Ida Wilcox.
He was a member of Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church and retired from Tidewater Transit. He also served in the US Navy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by aunt and uncle, Ross and Pearl Wilcox.
Survivors include wife, Lucy Sivert Wilcox; daughter, Laura Wilcox McNeese (Michael) of Greeneville; son, Clinton Wilcox of Greeneville; sister, Dorothy Dulaney of Blountville; grandchildren, Kayla Wilcox, Luke Wilcox and Lyla Wilcox; several nieces and nephews, special friends and neighbors.
Memorial Service for Mr. Wilcox will be at 7:00 PM on Friday, October 14, 2022 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Brady officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM prior to the service.

He was a good man. Aunt Pearl lived across the street from my Grandma when I was growing up.
Johnny was on the Washington County CO-OP board of directors with my Dad when the new CO-OP building was built. A very proud moment for them. I well remember visiting with the Wilcox family when Laura and Clinton were small too. We played together. I will pray for you all.
