Mr. Marvin Percell, age 70, Telford, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Johnson City Medical Center.

Mr. Percell was born November 13, 1951, in Washington County, and the son of the late Walter & Janie Briggs Percell. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Jack and Wayne Percell and a sister, Linda Sue Percell.

He worked for Burlington Industries for 31 years and retired from Washington County School System.

Mr. Percell was an avid dove hunter and coached Little League Baseball in Jonesborough for sixteen years.

Survivors include his wife and love of his life of 50 years, Doris Percell; daughter, Misty Hylton (Adam); son, Anthony Percell (Cindy); grandchildren, Alex Hylton, Caleb, Emily & Joshua Nienast, Kennedy & Reagan Brown and Kendra & Boone Percell; brothers, Jerry Percell (Lou) and Donald Briggs (Janice); and special friend, Ricky Deakins.

Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Dr. Lester Morelock and Dr. Craig Ponder officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Tuesday prior to the service.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family & friends.

Growing up together was good times. Playing ball, hunting. I will never forget playing hit the rock at your house. If no one we would get a stick ( usually a tobacco stick) one would pitch the other would bat and boy if you pitched some of those rocks would just sing past the pitcher and we would just laugh. Playing basketball on dirt. Rabbit hunting with your dad. Lord knows growing up together was a blast. God Rest Your Soul My Friend You will be missed
