Mr. Willie Glen Ward, age 88, Limestone, passed away at the Johnson City Medical Center Monday October 3, 2022 after a brief illness.
Mr. Ward was born August 11, 1934 in Hawkins County to the late Jasper and Fannie Hensley Ward.
He was also preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Willadean Sellers Ward, his brothers, Virgil, Kelly and Cecil Ward, and sister Norma Jean Payne.
Mr. Ward was a lifetime Dairy Farmer and received Farmer of the Year in 1978. He was a member of Bowmantown Baptist Church.
Mr. Ward was survived by a sister Irene Bailey of Johnson City; sisters-in-law Wanda Ward of Telford, Gladys Morrison of Church Hill, Dorothy Simpson of Kingsport, Violet Crawford (James) of Kingsport; brother -in-law Jack Payne of Telford, Paul Sellers (Carolyn) and Jack Sellers (Betty) of Church Hill, and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Thursday October 6, 2022 2:00PM at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Josh Grizzle officiating. those wishing to sign the book and pay their respect may do so Thursday prior to the service at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.

so sorry for the family's loss. Phil met Glen at the hospital ( of all things) when we were there for my mother. He and my husband talked a lot of the things they have in common. (farming). prayers for strength and comfort during this time.
