Mrs. Bettie Jean Masingale, age 83, Jonesborough, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022, at her residence after a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Masingale was born October 2, 1938, in Washington County, TN and daughter of the late Otis E. & Iva Earley Combs. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Jerry Don “J.D.” Masingale and a sister, Shelba Moore.

She was a long-time member of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her twin brother, Billie Combs (Pat); sister and caregiver, Caffie Combs; niece, Christine Spence; nephew, Jeff Combs; special great-niece, Ashley King; and several great and great-great nephews & nieces.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 PM, Monday, September 12, 2022, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Pate officiating.
Graveside services will follow at Sulphur Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ensil Presnell, Allen Hughes, Jeff Combs, Randall Walker, Matthew King and Waylon King.
