I really do not know where to start. Shelby worked for my dad, starting when she was just 17 years old and worked with him until he passed away in January 1985. My dad often said he could not have run his office without her. She was very smart & professional. She was so good with dealing with my dad's client's and managed dad's office in a very efficient manner. She continued thru the years to send my mom's flowers and cards around holidays for over 35 years. She never missed sending my son, Wesley birthday cards, gifts, etc. on all his birthdays, at Christmas, etc. Shelby in many, many ways over the years became like a second mother to me. Shelby and her husband Jack have been like family my whole life. I still am in shock over this news and will be praying for her husband, Jack and her son Jack II during this difficult season. I am going to miss Shelby's emails that she would send me at various times during the year. She always encouraged me in so many ways. Love and miss you always, Wesley Alan, Robin Ann & Wesley Dawson Taylor

Shelby was an incredible friend to me, my family and friends, and to so many people. She was always there to help in any way that she could. She was thoughtful and generous and supportive. She remembered us on birthdays and holidays with cards in the mail and also e-mail cards. She and Jack were incredible neighbors who lived out daily what it meant to be a good neighbor. She was fun, she was funny, she was sweet, she was always looking out for others and helping them when needs arose. She baked goodies and shared them and she bought treats and shared them. She made many trips to the airport alone and with Jack no matter what time of day or night to take me there or pick me up. She checked on my mother multiple times daily. She reflected God's love and care and was like having an angel in the flesh to guide and help. She will be hugely missed. My heart goes out to you, Jack and Jack and Linda. This is a great loss for us, but she has faithfully finished her course and earned a crown. S = sweet; H = humility; E = elegance; L = loving; B = beautiful; Y = young at heart. I am so thankful for her inspiring life.
