Mr. Bill Shepstead, age 67, Jonesborough, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Shepstead was born in Long Island, NY and the son of the late Richard & Anna Marie Woller Shepstead. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Karl Shepstead.
He was Manager for Pizza Plus. He liked to fish, read and enjoyed all sports.
Survivors include his wife, Hanna Shepstead, of the home; children, Greg Sherwood (Heather Gates) New York, Christina Shepstead, Jonesborough, Billy Shepstead (Esonya Shelton) Michele Lamb (Cory Ward), Stephen Shepstead (Jheri Lyons), all of Erwin and Jennifer Shepstead, Unicoi; grandchildren, Alexis Sherwood, Madison Sherwood, Holden Shepstead, Noah Shepstead, and Caroline Ward; siblings, Maria Walsh, Ruthie Iverson, Richard Shepstead, Jr, Anna Marie Pellicelli, Patrick Shepstead, Lisa Bearden, Paul Shepstead, Laura Dubois and Christine Pubins.

I have lost two brothers in a little over a year and it weighs heavily in my heart. My best memories of Bill is when I went to visit him in Virginia and in Atlanta Georgia where we went fishing and played pool. Even though we didn't see or talk to each other for years, these last few months were like we didn't miss a beat. I will cherish the Pittsburg Steeler jersey he sent me forever. You left us all too soon just as we began to reconnect with each other. I love you Bill. Wrap your arms around Karl and Vicki up in heaven. PJ

Bill & Hanna are such private people, but I’m in hopes you both understand. I feel the need to show my respect for your wonderful family. If I could speak to Bill today, I would tell him that he was, and always will be a rich man. You have a beautiful wife Hanna. The two of you created such a beautiful, loving family. You have six wonderful, smart, kind children, not to mention you’re both grandparents (soon to have your fifth grandchild). They all have such love and respect for you both, which is a rarity these days.
While Bill’s passing will be a huge hole in all of our lives, his legacy should be celebrated. I would like to think that he knew just how loved he was in his life, and because of the great job you and Hanna did, your family will be okay because they have each other, so you can Rest In Peace.
