Mrs. Angela Phillips, age 66, of Jonesborough, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Phillips was born June 6th in Kannapolis, North Carolina and was the daughter of Susan and Donald Malicoat.

Angela was a loving housewife and mother, adoring grandmother, supportive sister, and a loyal daughter. She was a cancer survivor, a lover of nature, and enjoyed traveling in the summers with her daughter and grandchildren. Angela was dedicated to her family and close friends and cherish her times spent with them.

Survivors, in addition to her parents, are her husband, Wayne Phillips, children Jennifer Welling, Brian Bowman, and April Bowman along with their spouses; stepson Wayne Phillips Jr. and his wife, grandchildren Faith, Leah, Joseph, Olivia, and Keegan; brothers Chris Basinger, Craig Basinger, and Clint Basinger, and sister,Tracy Miller and their spouses, along with many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Dillon-Taylor Funeral Home.

Angela, our families go back a long time , from Temple Texas to Seymour Indiana, Spring Hill Fl , we were best friends for over 15 yrs , unfortunately time, life and moves got in the way, I Cherish our friendship and all the fun we had, you and your family will Forever hold a special place in my heart ❤️ , I love you my friend and you will be missed dearly , every time I make pudding delight I smile and think of you.
