Makayla Dugger, age 17, Jonesborough passed away July 6, 2021.
She was born at Johnson City Medical Center, daughter of Josh and Jennifer Dugger.
She was preceded in death by Ronnie Dugger and Bobby Oliver, grandfathers.
She was greatly loved and will be missed dearly by family and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory include her fiancé DeAnn Self; siblings, Cameron Dugger and Marisa Bare; nanas, Sondra Dugger and Rebecca Oliver; aunt, Katelyn Oliver (Devin); uncles, Willie Henderson (Bluebyrd), Jeremiah Henderson (Dwana); cousins, Dawn Self, Deawna Brewer, and Asya Miller; and several cousins, family, and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 pm Monday, July 12, 2021 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor John Reed officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 pm Monday, prior to service. Interment services follow at Dugger Family Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tomie (TJ) Powell, Michael Dugger, Jereth Dugger, Dougie Kennedy, Noah Hubbard, and Devin Littrell. Honorary pallbearers are Cameron Dugger, Jade Cutshall and Asya Miller.

I work at dollar general in sulphur springs. She was always so nice and pleasant when she spoke to me at the store. I am sure your hearts are breaking. Praying for her family and friends that God will grant you comfort during this time.

You were always a joy to have in class and always seemed willing to help people whenever needed.I keep looking back on the jokes we had during 10th grade English. I will forever miss you . Sweet girl, you will certainly be missed. You had a heart of gold and were my Momma's favorite little friend in a time of need. I'll never forget how much you helped her and my Momma didn't forget either. Ice cream time with Makayla was one of Nana Pam's favorite things towards the end. She'd tell me you'd sit and talk to her about life, school and She'd talk to you about the Lord while you ate icecream together. We all love you. I'm so sorry this happened you had your whole life ahead of you kiddo. I pray God grant all of the family peace and comfort in this time of loss.
