I hate I wasn’t able to attend services. Opal, Don, Jimmy, Tammy and Teresa lived only 2 doors away from us when we were kids back in the 70’s. It’s a wonder we didn’t drive Opal crazy with all we tried to get away with back then. One of the sweetest easy going lady you could ever be blessed to have met. Prayers for the Bennett family, I know Opal will be dearly missed by many.

Opal could brighten up any situation. I remember her wonderful laugh. She is one of my best childhood memories.

Aunt Opal had the most infectious sense of humor and had kids and adults alike laughing with tears streaming from their eyes at things she had done and the way she saw the world. I don't know exactly what she will say to Saint Peter, but he won't keep a straight face either as she enters the gates. Uncle Don, Jim, Tammy, Theresa, and all the cousins I haven't met or seen in quite a while, I pray that God gives you strength and comfort you need in the days and weeks to come.

When we were growing up we called her "Bobbie". I remember when I was little how funny I thought she was. Don, Jimmy, Tammy and Teresa and families it's been a long time. Mom, Debbie, Nancy and I are thinking about you during this hard time. Take Care Judy

I had the pleasure of waiting on Miss Opal in the drive thru at First Tennessee Bank for many years. She always had a big smile on her and loved to joke around. I believe I remember her always busy canning something. My condolences to her husband and the family. With sympathy, Kathy Lamb
