I grew up down the street from Gary. We went to school together starting with the 6th grade until we graduated. After we graduated we remained good friends. Although we circulated in slightly different circles, our paths crossed frequently. Gary always had great parties. He was so generous. He would spend all of his money on food and drink for his friends. He would help anyone at anytime. He once delivered an old Datsun for me. I bought it for parts. It didn't run. I called Gary and he showed up within minutes with a trailer to haul the car home for me. He was always there for his friends. He was one of the nicest and sweetest people I have known in my entire life. I heard he and his friends had law trouble. I heard many friendships were broken because of that. That brakes my heart. Most of those people were childhood buddies that grew up with Gary. I'm certain they are all shedding tears as they hear of his passing. I am. The world is truly a little darker without Gary Squibb, an old friend , that would drop everything to come help.
