Irene was a wonderful lady. The church went through a hard time and the pastor and all but 3 members left. When I became pastor in 2014, I was told that the pastor and most members left, but there was a surprise the following Sunday. At service time there stood Irene and Jane Osborne with Bibles in hand ready for service. They open the door and went as normal to have their time with God in their church. A few minutes later a gentleman walked in to visit the church and he stayed to teach them until just before I arrived. No one can say who is was, but I say , God looked down in two ladies that would not allow their church to close and he sent an Angel, whether human or not, as an answer to their prayers. It was a blessing to serve as Irene’s pastor for two years.

Love and Prayers for all the Family. Irene was so willing to help at McCarty Church in all the activities and services. She was a devout Christian and she Loved the Lord. Heaven gained an Angel. She will always be remembered that way. Prayers for All.
