Granddaughters of Lucille Hayes. We are so shocked and saddened to hear of Betty’s passing. She is a wonderful, beautiful soul that I enjoyed working with and having in my life. Lynn, I am so very sorry. We always loved her. And I loved spending time with her at NHC. I just heard of her passing through Telford Methodist. God bless you and your family. She’s back with her good friends again, the Campbell’s and my our grandmother. I hate I couldn’t be there in the end for all of you. We love you all so much and God bless.

Betty was one of the sweetest ladies! I can still remember when she worked in the lunchroom at the old Jonesborough Elementary School (on Main Street) and she always had something sweet to say about both of our names being Betty! Lynn and Denny, you are both in our prayers at this sad time.

My mom, Eula Mae White, Payne McBride, worked with Betty for years at the Washington County School Food Service Office in Jonesborough. Whenever I went by to see mom, I was always greeted with a delightfully SWEET smile from Betty. She never failed to share God’s love through her greetings! What a special woman! May God comfort you, knowing He’s restored her full functioning and taking the best care of her. She is having the time of her life!!! I find it exciting to think my mother who passed in 2015, has the joy of greeting her among others from her life on earth, a wonderful home-coming! May God grant you comfort and peace during this time. I know it’s bitter-sweet. May wonderful memories bring you comfort. Stay close to Jesus.

I had the opportunity to work with Betty at the Washington County Department of Education Central Office building for several years. She was such a previous lady! I also knew her and her husband, Stubby, through attending horse shows. I am so glad I had the opportunity to know both...

My deepest condolences to Denny and Lynn and their families. I can remember Betty and Jerry coming to get me out of the sandbox at our house in Telford and taking me over to Paul and Naomi's. Betty was about 18 then and the sweetest thing ever. She was also the best cook. She will be missed.
