I just learned about Chucks passing about ten minutes ago. I worked with Chuck for several years. We also shared a love of trains and model railroading. I spent many long evenings at his house in Piney Flats working on his layout. We shared so many interests. He was a mentor to me in many facets of my life and also my best friend. As in many cases, we lost touch. I went by his house several times but he was never home. I went by this evening and saw the house was up for sale. I had a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach and discovered his obituary after I got home and settled. I will miss him terribly. He was an outstanding person and friend. Fair winds and following seas Chuck. You will be missed beyond words…

Chuck was my cousin on my mom’s side. While we only met later in life, he was great about keeping in touch with my mom in Clifton Forge, Virginia. When I had not heard from in awhile and did not get a response to a Christmas card, I tried to call him and the number was no longer in service. I then found this obituary after an Internet search. I am so saddened to learn of his passing almost three months ago, and my mom (who is 89) will take it hard. Our condolences to his family. Rest In Peace Chuck.

Christy and Josh, I just wanted to let you all know that I will be unable to come by the funeral home I don't think. I have a meeting in Kingsport today from 1-5pm but it I can get there before 6 I will come by. I am so saddened by your father's passing. I really liked Chuck and was proud to call him my friend. Enjoyed having him work for me at Auto Zone and enjoyed our conversations at the bank. He was a good man and will be missed by many. I will be praying for you all during this time and in the coming days and weeks I understand your loss as I lost my father 37 years ago and I still miss him today.

Chuck was always a pleasure to be be around and work with from the first time I met him. While working with him in the profession he was passionate about it was obvious he had gained much trust and confidence with his customers. A man of high character that will be missed.

To Chuck! An all around great guy, who was very kind and caring. He took a genuine interest in everyone, and would always go out of his way to help You. He has left a great impression on our hearts, all of us that knew him from the Cruise Ins and Car Shows, And we'll never forget him. We are praying for God's Blessings and comfort for all of his family, during this time and in the coming days. He loved his Children, And he spoke of them often. Until we meet again, Godspeed Chuck!
