Mr. John Lee Baskette, age 76, Jonesborough, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020 at his residence.
Mr. Baskette was born May 14, 1944 in Washington County, TN and the son of the late Roy Huts & Anna Hayes Baskette. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Baskette and Douglas Joseph Baskette, great-granddaughter, Katie Rose Barrett and a niece, Patricia Baskette.
He was a Christian and an ordained Deacon. He was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Lana Smith Baskette; children, Melisa Hyder (Robert), Johnson City, John Lee Baskette, II (Karen), Shauna Dean (Phillip), all of Greeneville and Aaron Baskette (Kristy), Jonesborough; twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; beloved dogs, Murphy, Kya, Josie; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Linda, Pam and Ashley with Amedisys Hospice and everyone who contributed to his care.
Private services will be conducted at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.
