Alma Faye Honeycutt Church, age 56 passed away peacefully in her home. She was of the Baptist faith. Alma was preceded in death by the absolute love of her life and the other half that made her whole, her husband of 38 years William “Bill” Harold Church, who she married on December 24, 1982. Their love story was one for the books and can only be described by a poem daddy wrote for momma
“As the day recedes this one, the sky we know returns to light our path, once more night crouches ever near, but no need to fear or be afraid, for I am very near. Your thoughts I feel, your dreams I see, you will never be alone, as long as God gives me breath, this I vow to you.”
Left to treasure Alma’s memory are two daughters one special son-in-law and seven grandchildren who better knew Alma as Nanny. Jewel Renea Church-Davis and husband Mark and their sons Avery W. Davis, Casen E. Davis and daughter Kerigan R. Davis. Jennifer N. Church-Ausborn and her daughters Abrial N. Ausborn, Kalista Faye Ausborn, Ahloni Ausborn-Orton and Ezlyn Ausborn-Orton. There are also five sisters and many special nephews and nieces. Alma is also preceded in death by her mother Jewel Fender and Father Herbert Honeycutt. Alma will be laid to rest at Maple Lawn Cemetery with her husband. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Davita Dialysis center of Johnson City. Thank you for caring for our mother.

Alma, we CAN NOT believe you are gone. You always brighten every room you entered. Your smile was infectious. Our hearts are broken and we love you lots. In your new home, there is NO suffering. You have been given a new body, an angelic body to match the spirit you have. God allowed you to come home to soon and we should be mad. But we ARE NOT mad. Just know that you will be missed so much. Again, we love you so much.
Alma was always a good friend and precious lady. Her smile was contagious. Sweet memories of this dear woman!
