Floyd and Nora Robertson
Annette and Michael:
We were so sorry to hear of your father's passing. I (Floyd) worked with Mert both in Milan and in Gray. We were also in Las Vegas when ITT was putting in some telephone equipment there. Mert, Neva, Nora and I had some good times going out together to casinos and to eat. I believe Mert and I started to work at ITT about the same time, about 1965. Then we were transferred over here in 1978. I stayed here when ITT moved over to Raleigh.
We knew your parents well; but, we sort of drifted apart when we located in different areas here. We hope you both are doing well.
Again, we wanted to offer our condolences. We are sorry for your loss.

I didn't know Merlyn real well, but considered him a friend at Midway Presbyterian. What bond we did share was quite special. His faith and service were an inspiration and an example.
Oh my Goodness Y'all. This man Mert was the highlight of my life . He came every 2 wks to get a trim . He liked his cutt to not not look like a haircutt lol.. and we'd talk about every matter of life . He was like my dad Annette and i will sooooo miss him . He helped me in so much in this thing called life . And we will meet again and we'll all have Perfect Beautiful hair like our Yeshua Jesus! Much Love ❤ Romans 10:9-13

Kent Walker and Family at Olde Towne Pharmacy
I remember Merlyn in his blue jeans and cowboy boots dancing in short two-step circles in the pharmacy telling me about his hunting trip (Georgia, I think) with sons/grandsons hunting ferrell hogs. Those were the good days I want to remember, and I'm sure those stories and him getting excited over some little something (that sure was big at the time) are in your memories as well.
Our sincere condolences. He will be missed.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I consider it an honor to have known " Mert", and to have been a friend. We had many enjoyable times together with the Boy Scouts.
