Mrs. Margaret Jane Barkley Loyd, age 84, Limestone, passed away Monday, June 22, 2020 at her residence.
Mrs. Loyd was born in Washington County and the daughter of the late Niles & Helena Fox Barkley. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Barkley and Bill Barkley.
She was a member of Boones Creek Christian Church and the Joy Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Loyd was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, member of Limestone Garden Club, Den Mother for the Cub Scouts and loved Christian music.
Survivors include her husband, Herman Loyd, Limestone; children, Gene Loyd (Karen), Murfreesboro, Diana O’Neal (Artie), Limestone and Keith Loyd (Kathy), Gray; sister, Shirley Campbell, Limestone; grandchildren, Emily Campbell (Jordan), Jordan Loyd (Erica), Ryan Loyd (Mackenzie), Jonathan Loyd (Whitney), Grayson Loyd and Connor Loyd; great-grandchildren, Cloey Loyd, Emma Loyd, Braxton Loyd, Luke Loyd, Harper Loyd and Jack Loyd.
Funeral services will be conducted at 5:00 pm Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Boones Creek Christian Church with Minister David Clark officiating. Mrs. Loyd will lie in state from 4:00-5:00 pm Thursday prior to the service. Interment services will follow at Mt. Bethel Christian Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Emily Campbell, Jordan Loyd, Ryan Loyd, Jonathan Loyd, Grayson Loyd, and Connor Loyd.

Its been several months since Margaret died and I'm so sorry I only found out about a month ago. I am so sorry Herman, Diana, Keith and Gene. Ya'll have always been so very special to me like family. Over the years we grew apart making our own families or moving away but nothing takes away from the love she and I shared. I know she knew I loved her but I'm sorry I didn't get over to see her more in the later years. She was a very strong lady. She was just the best!! Sandee

We have lost such a wonderful person that has meant so much to so many through out her lifetime. As part of the Loyd family she was always kind carrying and giving to all. I especially remember the wonderful Christmas family get togethers at her home and the times I spent as a young child at their farm. She will be missed by all of us who knew her.
