Mr. Bruce E. Keys, age 86, Jonesborough, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2020 at NHC Healthcare of Johnson City.
Mr. Keys was born in Washington County and the son of the late Charles & anna Ruth Susong Keys. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Carl Keys and a sister, Virginia Whaley.
He was a Christian and a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Jonesborough.
Bruce was the previous owner and operator of Zeke’s Market in Johnson City. He loved animals.
Survivors include two daughters, Amanda Cooper (Clay), Johnson City and Audrey Keys, Bristol, TN; grandchildren, Jessica Bajestani (Aaron), Jonesborough, Carlton Cooper, Noah Cooper, Emanuelle “Manny” Cooper, all of Johnson City; great-granddaughter, Isabella Bajestani, Jonesborough; and many special nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Toonie Cash and Pastor Perry Cleek officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Wednesday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Highland Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family & friends.
