Mr. Jerry E. Carr, age 66, Limestone, passed away Friday, March 13, 2020 at Johnson City Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Carr was born June 23, 1953 and the son of the late James & Lucy Ford Carr. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Thomas “Tommy” Michael Carr and a nephew, Michael Jason Carr.
He was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Richard & Kathy Carr, Limestone; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jill & Randy Lilley, Johnson City and Kay & Steve Oglesby, Blountville; seven nieces, Cindy Corwin, Nicole Campbell, Mandy Myers, Jessica Moorman, Shelly Lane, Lucinda Hawkins and Debra Carr; special friends, Dennis Stiles, Howard “Red” Jamerson, Dale Burrough and Dennis McNeal.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses in the ICU for the care they gave our brother.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, March 16, 2020 at Philadelphia Cemetery, Limestone with Mr. Randy Lilley officiating.
The family will receive friends all other times at his sister’s home, Jill Lilley, 103 Lilley Lane Johnson City, TN 37604.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association 3101 Browns Mill Rd. Suite 6 PMB 321 Johnson City, TN 37604.
