Ms. Edna was a wonderful neighbor and friend. She was always so encouraging to our family as she watched our children grow up. Her contagious smile was a blessing to see!

When I was born on February 10, 1948, Aunt Edna came to be with my Mother (Trudy, her only sister) even though there had been a tremendous snowstorm in High Point, NC. She and Mother remained very close even though they lived miles apart and in different states. Since they were both nurses, they had a lot in common. They also were devoted wives, mothers, and grandmothers as well as friends to many in their churches. I was truly blessed to have both in my life and really enjoyed the family times that we shared especially when we visited Jonesboro where we always had a wonderful time in her big house on Main Street. I know that Mother and Aunt Edna have joined Daddy and Uncle G.R. in Heaven, and they are recounting the many memories that they shared. I hope to join them some day and love hearing their laughter once again.
