Charles Chapman Wyman

01/27/2020

Charles C. Wyman, aged 70, passed into the presence of his Lord on January 27, 2020. He was born in Lakehurst, NJ, son of Charles and Barbara Wyman. Charles is survived by his cherished wife, Mary, whom he met while working for the government in Germany.
He wished to be remembered for his love for God, Mary, family, and friends. He had a strong desire to please God and tried living as Christ desired. His love for his family, especially his uncompromising honor and respect for his parents, was very strong. Mary was the delight of his life and they lived their life together with unfailing love, exceptional devotion, and unswerving commitment for 37 years.
Following retirement in 2010, Charles and Mary moved to Jonesborough, TN. Some of his time was devoted with helping with a worship service and reading the Bible at a local health care facility and he occasionally volunteered at the food bank. His artistic talent was developed by creating remarkably inventive paintings for family. Playing golf and enjoying God’s beauty and creatures during long walks in the forest was a great pleasure. He was a loving, trusting, and caring friend and delighted in celebrating their special days with stories and props. Donald Sandusky, his nephew, cherished several Alaska fishing trips with endless stories of their time together and the fish they caught.
He leaves behind, to cherish his memories, his wife Mary, five siblings and their families; Susanne and Terry Sandusky; Christine and John Dewar; Bruce and Karen Wyman; Mark and Glenda Wyman; and Paul Wyman.
A service celebrating Charles’ remarkable life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 1:00 PM at St. James Episcopal Church, Greeneville, TN. A reception will follow in the parish hall. Flowers may be sent to St. James or donations can be made in Charles’ memory to a church or charity of your choosing.

A year has passed since Charllie left all of you. I JUST read the obituary. I cannot describe the impact upon me. I loved all of you so very much. It was Charlie's care and directing me to Pastor MacDonald that I was saved. Your Mom and Dad extended such love and spiritual guidance to me. I`ve no doubt how much you all miss him. May our Heavenly Father continue to bring joy to all of you for this dear man. In Christ, Jan McIntosh (jcmcintosh29@gmail.com)
