Mr. Don J. Malone, age 76, Jonesborough, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, December 22, 2019 at his residence.
Mr. Malone was born in Greene County and the son of the late Grover & Mandy Booker Malone. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Bobby, Eddie and Jerry Malone.
He retired from the Town of Jonesborough and was a Farmer. He enjoyed gardening, tractors, camping and riding horses.
Survivors include his wife, Teddy Byrd Malone, Jonesborough; children, Becky Carr (Jerry), Telford, Donna Malone, Keith Malone (Mitzi) and Jama Curtis (Tony) all of Jonesborough; grandchildren, Autumn Walsh, Coty Malone, Taylor Malone, Hunter Curtis and Tyler Curtis; two great-grandchildren, Micah Carr and Caeden Malone; brothers and sisters, Joann Feathers, Billy Joe Malone, David Malone, L. J. Malone, Donna Sue Casteel and Jay Malone; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Ron McEwen officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 pm Thursday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, December 27, 2019 at Maple Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Don White, Jerry Carr, Tony Curtis, Coty Malone, Hunter Curtis, and Tyler Curtis. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve McCracken, Mike McCracken and Conley Dockery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Regional Cancer Center 1 Professional Park Dr. #21 Johnson City, TN 37604.

I first got to know don back in the mid 1960 i worked as a lt. on the police department in jonesborough. We had many a long
talks about family and the town I was aas proud that he called me his friend. He was and still is a great frien and a wonderful person.
