Mr. Bobby Joe Hensley, age 74, Jonesborough, passed away at his residence Monday, November 25, 2019.
Mr. Hensley was a native of Baltimore, MD and son of the late Vaughn and Louise Cooper Hensley. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Doug Hensley.
Mr. Hensley was a United States Navy Veteran. He retired from the United States Postal Service and also worked for Watauga Pathology Associates.
Mr. Hensley was of the Methodist Faith.
Survivors include his wife Peggy Sue Hensley; two sons, David Hensley (Stephanie) and Robert Hensley (Amy); two daughters, Laura Hensley Walsh (Bryan) and Misty Cross; grandchildren, Casey Walsh, Ryan Walsh, Alec Hensley, Christopher Hensley, Kyle Hensley, Tanner Badman, Megan Maddux, Lauren Maddux, and Kristen Lowery; brothers, Carl Hensley (Joan), Lloyd Hensley & family and Gene Hensley (Mona); and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service for Mr. Hensley will be Saturday, November 30, 2019 1:00 PM at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home. A Burial at sea will take place at a later date.
