Miss Cheri M. Arrowood, age 59, Jonesborough, passed away Monday, November 11, 2019 at Johnson City Medical Center.
Miss Arrowood was born in Washington County and daughter of Jane E. Malone Bailey and the late Eugene Arrowood. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Judy Arrowood Guthrie.
She was a Cafeteria Supervisor at Johnson City Medical Center. She loved to play softball, going to NASCAR races and was a huge Jeff Gordon fan.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her step-father, Jim Bailey; son, Hobie J. Arrowood; brothers, Jerry G. Bailey and Jimmy Bailey (Kathy Malone); niece, Taylor Bailey; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the 2600 floor nurses at the Johnson City Medical Center for their wonderful care.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Dykes officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 pm Saturday prior to the service. Interment services will follow at New Victory United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tim Silvers, Buddy Arrowood, Craig Bailey, Chase Bailey, Jonas White and Billy Joe VanDyke. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Ferguson, Leroy Arrowood and Darrel Arrowood.

I am so sad to hear of Cheri’s passing I loved her and her
whole family we went to school together she was a couple
years older than me we also played county softball together
many years of friendship and fun together their whole family
are like family to me she will be forever missed but her
memories will remain deep within everyone’s life she touched
my prayers are with Hobie and the rest of the family she was
also full of life never a dull moment around her cherish those
times and it will honor her and help ease your pain until we
meet on God’s Celestial Shores Rest In Peace my Friend

I had the same classes Cheri had at Crockett, I am
currently looking at the 1978 yearbook with her
senior picture, we graduated together, Cheri
always like car racing I believe she pulled for
Cale Yarborough, my picture is not in the yearbook
because of a car accident in my senior year.
