Mr. Kenneth George Kirtley, age 87, Jonesborough, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2019 at his residence.
Mr. Kirtley was born in Cambria, PA and the son of the late Francis & Cecilia Kirtley. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Lovella Nix and two brothers, Everette Kirtley and Fred Kirtley.
He was a member of Boones Creek Christian Church.
Mr. Kirtley retired after 37 years from Consolidated Freight Ways, Redford, Michigan. After moving to Jonesborough, he worked for Thomas Construction for six years and Wayman Bailey Construction for ten years.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Ferguson Kirtley, Jonesborough; sons, Kenneth Kirtley, Jr. (Rosa) and Gary McIntosh (Julie); daughters, Patricia Kish, Judy Lowery and Jayne Condron; sister, Ann McKinnion; brothers, Bob Kirtley, Leonard Kirtley and Jim Kirtley; grandchildren, Heather McIntosh, Ryan McIntosh, Brandon Hinds, Leslie McIntosh, Mark Marlo, Sarah Baker (Aaron), Sadie Kirtley, and five additional grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren;; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 PM Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Minister David Clark officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday prior to the service.
Entombment services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, October 4, 2019 at Washington County Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Mark Marlow, Jacob McIntosh, Daryl Nix, Joe Bowman, Danny Good and David Good.
