Hazel was a very special person. I first met her 11 years ago when my
sister Pam Mitchell Kaleva and cousin Marlene Mitchell Peterson and I
can to Tennessee to discover our "roots" and we visited with her and
Earl every year since that time. She shared many special moments
with us as her grandmother cared for our great grandfather John
Wesley Mitchell for two years before he passed away. She also gave
us a very special picture of our great grandfather and another one of
her grandparents with their two girls. She will have a very special
place in our hearts forever.

I am happy to have met Hazel (& Earl!) during trips my cousins & I made to Washington County, TN to find our "roots". Hazel was one of our "kin" we found as we share ancestors! What a delight she was to visit with and she shared many of her memories of life in TN!
Thank you to the Hite family for looking after her.
I have known Hazel since I was a teenager. She was a sweet lady and always had a smile. I will miss her. Our family loves her.
