Mr. Jerry “Elzie” Miller, age 85, Jonesborough, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Miller was born in Madison County, NC and the son of the late Merritt & Susie Moore Miller. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Louise Forbes Miller and a daughter, Barbara Walker.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He worked for Barlett Tree Service.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Garrett (Wayne) and Wanda Sue Miller, all of Jonesborough; one sister, Louise Hale; grandchildren, Terrie Whitaker, Tina Walker, John Garrett and Tony Garrett; ten grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 pm Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Washington County Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Tony Garrett, Steve Whitaker, Jamey Garrett, Dillon Garrett, Gage Whitaker and Dennis Walker.
