William "Bill" Frank Hughes

Mr. William “Bill” Frank Hughes, age 88, Johnson City, passed away Wednesday, August 7,2019 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Hughes was a native of Watauga, TN and the son of the late Ernest and Christine Vest Hughes. He was also preceded in death by a sister Mae Hylton and brother Gene Hughes.
Mr. Hughes proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a Bread Salesman and retired from Rainbow Bakery. He was an avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife Glenna Mae Fox Hughes, two daughters, Kimberly Holley (Keith), Lori Milliken (Kevin) one son Gary Hughes (Lisa), grandchildren Benjamin Holley (April), Mara Holley (Andrew), Abby Milliken (Cameron),and Kylie Milliken, Amber Hughes; one grandson, Jaxon Hays; brother, Dickie Hughes, sisters, Elva Sammons, Sue Walker, Sandy Pryor, Judy Foster, Linda Henley, and Shelia Humphreys; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses on 4200, Zac with visiting angels, and Rhonda at Johnson City Internal Medicine.
The family will receive family and friends from 5:00 " 7:00 PM Thursday August 8, 2019 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.
Entombment will be 10:00 AM Friday August 9, 2019 at Washington County Memory Garden. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

I was a friend of Kim Hughes Holley from first grade thru high school. I always thought the world of Mr. Hughes as well as Mrs. Hughes. I don't believe you can find a nicer family. You have my most heartfelt condolences and will keep each of you in my prayers.
