James McCurry

Mr. James McCurry, age 93, Johnson City, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. McCurry was born in Washington County and the son of the late Rex & Stella Keplinger McCurry. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Baldwin McCurry, brother, Ernest McCurry, and two sisters, Lorraine Johnson and Amelia Tittle.
He was a member of Skyline Heights Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon.
Mr. McCurry worked for Keezel’s Body Shop and DBH Enterprise.
Survivors include three children, Barbara Pelfrey (Ronnie), Carolyn Parrott (George) and Jimmy McCurry (Sandra); six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Donald Page officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, July 26, 2019 at Monte Vista Burial Park.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan McCurry, Jody McCurry, Josh McCurry, Jayden McCurry, Todd Pelfrey and Jason Bolton.
