Pearl Vines Taylor went to be with the Lord on July 10, 2019.
Born in Washington County on March 11, 1939, Pearl graduated from Jonesborough High School in 1957. She was a devoted mom, granny and farmer’s wife. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where she had attended since birth. She taught Sunday School and VBS to many children over the years and loved to garden.
She is survived by daughter Sharon Bishop (Steve); sons Wayne Taylor (Kim) and Rex Taylor (Amanda); Grandkids Dustin Bishop (Sarah), Jeremy Bishop, Jordan Dison (Cody), Olivia Taylor, Ryan Taylor, Joseph Taylor, and Chase Taylor; great-grandkids Jaiden Bishop, Elsie Dison, and Edith Dison; brother Robert Vines (Janice) and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by husband John Paul Taylor, parents Hugh and Blanche Vines, sisters Hazel Bacon and Caroline Hicks, and brother Jay Vines.
Visitation is at the family home. Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 13 at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, with Pastors Jamie Ferguson and Jerry Hicks officiating. Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home is serving the Taylor family.

I am so sorry of your loss. Pearl was a good friend. We taught SS together, and chatted on the phone occasionally, which helped pass the day for Pearl, as well as myself. She will be greatly missed,may God comfort the family.
