Delora Cardin Tidwell passed way from this life on Wednesday, June 5, 2019.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Opal H. Tidwell; and one daughter, Cheryl Ann Tidwell; her mother, Ella Susan Quimby Cardin, and her father, William Cardin; her brothers, Andrew Cardin, Dale Cardin, J.W. Cardin, Tommy Cardin, Robert Cardin, and Velt Cardin; and, her sister, Mary Cardin Wilkerson.
Ms. Tidwell is survived by her children; Betty Tidwell, Larry Tidwell (Liz), and Patti Tidwell Fatherree. She leaves four grandchildren; Robert Allen Tidwell (Jeorgia), Phillip Tidwell (Laura), Devin Fatherree (Allison), and Emily Kate Fatherree. She also leaves four great-grandchildren; Noah Tidwell, Micah Tidwell, Lyla Grace Fatherree, and Indie Rose Fatherree. She is also survived by many other family members and cherished friends.
The family members sincerely thank Amy Sams, caregiver, and the staff at Home Instead Senior Care, Johnson City Medical Center, and The Waters for the loving care they provided.
Graveside services will be at Coax Cemetery in Baskin, Louisiana on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 10:00 AM. A memorial service will be at Central Church of Christ in Johnson City, Tennessee on Sunday, June 16, 2019 with receiving of friends at 2:00 PM with the service to follow at 2:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Washington County/ Johnson City Animal Shelter or any charitable organization.
