Joshua “Hunter” Briggs, age 18, Jonesborough, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Niswonger Children’s Hospital.
Hunter was born December 31, 2000 in Washington County and the son of Melissa Broyles Briggs, Jonesborough.
He was a member of Enon Baptist Church. Hunter was a senior at David Crockett High School.
In addition to his mother, survivors include a brother, Isaac Briggs; grandparents, Mike & Karen Broyles, Sharon Broyles and Jeanene & Tom McCurry; aunts and uncles, Michelle & Brandon Julian, Brooke & Timmy Price and Carrie & Stephen Lewis; cousins, Timmy Price, Logan Price, Ariel Green, Aiden Julian, Carter Lewis, Parker Julian and Eli Lewis; Hunter had a special friendship with T Johnson, Tell Johnson, Ty Johnson, Cameron Fellars. Ayden Stanton, Bella Stanton, Lincoln Johnson, and Kristen Briggs.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Niswonger Children’s Hospital and Dr. Melinda Lucas, Dr. Joshua Henry and PICU Team.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Parker Street officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Tuesday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at New Victory Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Johnson, Jr., Marty Johnson, Brandon Julian, R. Jay Prusik, Jamie Aistrop, Timmy Price and Stephen Lewis.
