Mrs. Barbara Harvey, age 82, Johnson City, left her earthly body to enter into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Thursday, April 18, 2019.
Mrs. Harvey was born in Washington County and the daughter of the late Carl D. & Mae Gibbs Miller. She was also preceded in death by a son, Darren Harvey.
She had been a member of Skyline Heights Baptist Church for over 50 years. She taught the Ladies Sunday School Class and Youth Group. She has the pleasure of working with children and loved donating to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting and cooking.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Bill Harvey, Johnson City; son and daughter-in-law, Gary & Phyllis Harvey, Jonesborough; two daughters and son-in-law, Regina & Ron Sells, Kingsport and Jennifer Story; daughter-in-law, Devron Harvey; grandchildren, Ashton Story, Knoxville, and Gatlin Harvey and Ariel Harvey, both of Jonesborough; one sister and brother-in-law, Janice & Robert Jones, Johnson City; nephew, Steve Jones and wife, Lisa, Unicoi.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Monday, April 22, 2019 at Skyline Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Don Page and Dr. Joe Blankenship officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Monday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 11:00 am Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Monte Vista Burial Park. Friends are requested to meet at the cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude’s Place Memphis, TN 38105.
