Mr. Sammy Allen Arrowood, age 41, Johnson City, passed away April 8 2019, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Arrowood enjoyed his motorcycles, cooking out, playing horse shoes, watching football, his dog Poncho, but most of all spending time with his daughter.
Mr. Arrowood was a native of Washington County and the son of Betty Maupin Arrowood and the late Conley Arrowood. He was also preceded in death by grandparents Harrison Gene and Masel Branch Arrowood and Willie and Jewel Heaton Maupin.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his daughter Samantha Arrowood, sister Connie Whaley and brother Aaron Arrowood; two nieces Alicia Carver and Emily Arrowood; aunts, Vivian Arrowood, and Patsy Jaynes; uncles Jackie Arrowood, Jack Maupin, Dean Maupin, and Willie Maupin; special friends Christopher Bowling and Barbara Rice.
Graveside services will be held Saturday April 13, 2019 4:00PM at Fairview Cemetery, Jonesborough with Pastor Lenny Smith officiating. The family will receive family and friends from 2:00 to 4:00 PM prior to the service.
You are at peace now, no more suffering. But those that are
left behind will miss you so much. I worked with you for many
years, we worked well together and I missed all of our friends
when I left ETSU, we laughed at stuff at work and helped each
other out. You will be missed by so many but your family will
keep you alive in there hearts and your friends will never forget
you. Rest In Peace.

Sammy was such as sweet guy! I will miss him! Praying for his
daughter and all the family. May God give you strength for the
days ahead peace knowing Sammy is with his Savior. Comfort
for the months ahead!!
